This is a fantastic topping for your fattier meals: steaks, fried eggs or even tacos and burgers. It's quick, easy and lasts for at least a week in your fridge.
In a small sautee pan, bring oil, paprika, red chili flakes, dried oregano to a simmer. You want the consistency to be like a thick paste. Add garlic, salt, and balsamic vinegar (or honey). Taste as you add each of the ingredients, you want a spicy, smokey, slightly bitter flavor with a sweet finish. After adding the garlic, cook only for a few minutes, so it can release its water and reduce its bitterness.
When stored, the mixture can separate or thicken, but a quick stir will return it to its looser paste consistency.
